Gwen Pentecost
Although specializing in landscape paintings of the White Mountains, my history and travels take me to other parts of the Southwest as well, this time to La Quinta for the Desert Plein Air festival. One of the sites painted by participating artists was the oasis at the San Andreas Overlook up on the Agua Caliente Indian Reservation. That golden desert light is the real subject of this painting.
