This painting of the shallow, flat water and ripples of Slide Rock in Oak Creek Canyon, near Sedona, is the first of a series of large-format landscape paintings from this area. Its treatment is unusual for me, but much of this series will have a close-up look at the water, rocks, and reflections in Oak Creek Canyon.
