Ah, the West! There are many places in Northern Arizona and Utah which are pure Maynard Dixon country...you can recognize individual scenes he painted. I had the pure pleasure some years ago to actually stay at the Maynard Dixon ranch in Mt. Carmel. New Mexico, too, has some wonderful country...but it looks quite different. I have several pieces in preparation, but not quite finished yet...
